My Science Fair Poster is all finished.
It's pretty awesome Right?
I hope I win.
Thank you Daddy for bringing me Lagoon and Ocean Water
Thank you Ann for mailing me Pacific Ocean and LA Water
Thank you Etsy sticker lady for making water drops for me

Conclusion
My hypothesis was correct. But my order was not correct.
The water weighed different amounts.

The water weighed different amounts.
I thought heaviest water to lightest water would be
- Kiawah Island Lagoon
- Flint Creek
- Tennessee River
- Pacific Ocean
- Atlantic Ocean
- Hartselle Tap Water
- Los Angeles Tap Water
- Distilled Water
My water weighed either 0.8 ounces or 0.9 ounces.
These weighed 0.9 ounces
- Kiawah Island Lagoon
- Pacific Ocean
- Atlantic Ocean
- Distilled Water
These weighed 9.8 ounces
- Flint Creek
- Tennessee River
- Hartselle Tap Water
- Los Angeles Tap Water
It wasn't as interesting as I thought it would be. I wanted the differences to be bigger.
I am most surprised about distilled water. I thought it would be the lightest because it doesn't have as much junk in it as the other kinds of water.
Acid
I don't really understand acids but I know they are bad for you, like don't eat batteries.
I got an acid tester called a pH test. We bought it at the test tube store.
I put a few drops of every kind of water in these tiny bowls.
And then I put these little pieces of paper in the water and they changed colors.
The lagoon water turned the paper green. Probably because of the alligator tinkle.
And the Atlantic Oceana and Pacific Ocean water is a little bit darker than the others. I think this is because more fish swim in it.

Observation
Kiawah Island Lagoon
Looking in the Microscope:
I see a bug in the water. It looks like a turtle. The edges of the water are curly.
I have a microscope but it does not take pictures. This is what I can see.
Flint Creek
Looking in the Microscope:
When I look at the edge of the drop of water the water is grayish and the edges are very curly. I see black dots. I think they are creatures.
When I look at it larger under the microscope I see an insect that looks like a beetle.
Tennessee River
Looking in the Microscope:
The edges of the water are wavy. There are air bubbles but not any spots.
Pacific Ocean
Looking in the Microscope:
I see mostly white and some gray and black dots.
Distilled Water
Looking in the Microscope: The edges of the water are straight. They are not wiggly like the creek water and the lagoon water. There are air bubbles but no little animals in the water.
Procedure
Procedure is a scientific word that means the way you're testing something.
I have 8 kinds of water. I think they will be heaviest to lightest

- Kiawah Island Lagoon

- Atlantic Ocean
- Hartselle Tap
- Los Angeles Tap
- Distilled Water
I filled test tubes with 25 ml of each kind of water.
Then I put an empty test tube on a scale. I did this so I would know how much the tube weighs and how much the water weighs.
Then I put every test tube on the scale.
Density
A science way of saying I think Lagoon water weighs more than distilled water is to say I think the Density of lagoon water is greater than the density of distilled water.
DENSITY is how much something weighs in a certain amount of space.
In my project the amount of space for my water samples is a 25ml test tube.

Hypothesis
Hypothesis is a big fancy word that just means and idea you can test.
I learned this when I was 4 from watching Dinosaur Train.
Water should always way the same. But my hypothesis is that my water from different places will weigh different amounts. This is because an alligator tinkled in the lagoon and I think alligator tinkle weighs more than plain water.
